"Every man owes a part of his time and money to the business or industry in which he is engaged.
No man has a moral right to withhold his support from an organization that is striving to improve conditions within his sphere."

The Who, How, What and Why's of HBAM Membership
Who - The Home Builders Association of Massachusetts (HBAM)
is a trade association consisting of single and multi-family
builders, developers,
remodelors, suppliers and other allied professionals to the residential
construction industry.
How - HBAM is made up of six
affiliate local builder associations which are geographically
located across the state. Membership
is accomplished by joining one of the local associations. Upon
joining a local association, membership is automatically accorded
to the Home Builders Association of Massachusetts as well as
the National Association of Home Builders in Washington, DC.
Annual membership dues pay for all three memberships. Members
generally choose to join the association in the territory where
their business is located or where the majority of their business
is conducted.
What - Two types of membership are available. Builder Members
are involved in residential, commercial and industrial construction
or remodeling.
Associate Members provide supplies or a service to builder members
such as architects, building materials suppliers, insurance agencies,
attorneys, electricians, bankers, engineers, etc.
Why - We have a highly effective lobby firm who represents home
building interests on Beacon Hill; members who hold important
positions
on boards and committees to safeguard our housing industry issues;
well prepared members who testify on behalf of the housing industry
at hearings and meetings; and a savvy public relations firm who
challenge media efforts to distort home builder issues.
Membership will allow you to become a player in ensuring that your lifestyle
and livelihood are protected. You'll receive important industry information,
and you'll feel the pride that comes from being a member of an organization
which helps provide part of the American Dream: home ownership. Please go to
the Local Associations page to find out which
local chapter is best for you.
